My H3 is making a very light grinding noise at low RPMS (1500-2000). It sounds like it's coming from the engine on the passenger's side but it's tough to pinpoint when you're driving. Anyone else hearing this? It may be perfectly normal but I only noticed it recently when I had my radio on really low. Maybe "light grinding noise" isn't the best way to describe it but it sounds like a fan or something that's not spinning freely. Anyone?

On a serious note...I haven't heard anything like that. However, I do have 2 small noises that I'm going to have the dealership fix. 1 is when it's at a stop/low idle...it's from the very back of the truck(I think it's the headliner frame)..definitely plastic vibration. The other is when the Moon roof closes..a metal against metal screech...probably just needs oil or graphite. If its a sound that's buggin you, it's not normal. When I drive around normally, the truck is extremely quiet...except when I have XM radio at 8 decibels.

I hear you - I usually have the XM cranked myself. The thing is, it's probably going to be kind of tough to get this fixed because:

A. It doesn't happen all the time

AND

B. It's not something really obvious that I can easily point out or show to the service manager.

With my luck my H3 won't make the noise when they check it, but it'll be even worse when I get it back from service.

Again, this might be totally normal and I'm just nitpicking but if something is wrong I'd like to get it fixed before it possibly escalates into something bigger.
