That's the whole point Mr.Tool,
The video WAS the response BECAUSE your guys DID crossed the line!
We pretty much hit breaking point watching and hearing or rigs get slammed for a few years now.
All the illwishes, misinformation, middle fingers, vandalism, you name it, we've gotten it.
The video was designed to make you feel what we go through. We are tormented not because of the people we are, but what we drive.

Your chest-beating mono-syllabic diatribe is actually more funny than the video. What? Do you seriously think we just showed up on this earth the day the H2 came out. You seemed to be under the delusion that since we own an H2 we don't have years of experience on the trail.
You idiot. Own some different 4x4s and find out what their weaknesses and positives are and then come here and talk about experience because until then, your "challenge" is bull****. Silly roly-poly Jeepers.

if you are going to talk it....
look.. I have no issue with anyone, for whatever they drive.
BUUUUUUUTTTTTTTT......( see the big letters)
if you are going to insult the people that have a vehicle, and wan't to elaborate further, you better look at the BIG picture.

Do I need to turn my lockers off??
I hope that I explained the modifacations to my Jeep have done simple enough for ANYONYE that may hav purchased a vehicle with 4WD and wheels can understand.
Just know this: I can "undo" the "minor" mods which have given me ZERO advantage over a "stock" H2 or H3 or any damn H anything.
Please. Grow up. Learn.

I am willing to speak out for Jeep.
ANYONE?????? </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
I have wheeled them all H1,,H2,,H3,,Rubicons,,and my own Built CJ
I have said it on this board and on the Jeep boards I frequent.
Comparing an H2 to a Jeep is assanine. Any one who does is ignorant to the function of both.
A tight snowmobile trail in the U.P. of Michigan will of course be more enjoyable in a Jeep vs a H2
A 20 + hr ride with family and gear to MOAB then a couple days wheeling in 117 degree heat will of course be more enjoyable in a H2 vs a Jeep.
The Hitler thing might of been a little overboard,,but the way the automotive industry right know,,,It does bother me that Jeep is now owned by "The Germans"
There are thousands of Jeepers on MJ,,and other Jeep forums that are just frothing at the mouth to be able to post a pic/vid of a H2 stuck or broke.
Get the **** over it

Mr. Stool:
"Part of my economy" that's code for Union Thug!
"If a bully want's to beat up my sister then I will defend her." I didn't know that Jerry's Kid was your sister! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif
We get trolls from all makes & model of vehicle and some of them end up sticking around to share their experience with the forums...but with your first post being a pissing match, I doubt you could add much to this site.
The fact remains, the video of the tie-rod break was stolen from here and posted on EVERY Jeep site out there. Your forums are full of US VS. THEM attitudes, so don't even begin to preach here.
Do a search for the word "Tahoe"...does it come up with the GM vehicle? No. Does it bring up links for info on the Lake Tahoe Resort? No. It's all Jeeper forums trashing the H2.
Bash the H2 all you want, we know who are the jealous ones. We have some forum members who drive "beaters", yet we don't tell them to 'go to your own forum' or make threats. If they have something to offer, they stick around.
I haven't been much of a fan of Jeep since Chrysler bought out the brand (Willys was the only real Jeep - the rest are knock-offs), but now that the Germans own you, should I call your rides VOLKSWAGEN? GM owns the Hummer brand, but Hummers are still made where they always have been...Mishawaka, Indiana at the AMG plant. Check how many postings of "Tahoe" are on your Heeper threads.
The <STRIKE>J</STRIKE>CHeepers talk about how much money the Hummer cost which always is the first sign of ENVY! Stock vs. stock isn't what it's about anyway...skill of the driver (or lack thereof) is what makes or breaks any machine.
I may not have the experience that many on this forum have, but I don't limit who I am willing to learn from by trash-talking their ride. It is folks with your attitude that get the wheeling spots closed up for the rest of us.
If we are all "offroaders" than leave it at that....wheel with Hummers and you may learn something that has yet to enter your closed little mind. I for one am not about to leave out those who have real interest in learning or sharing offroad knowledge.
By the way, since I lived in Indiana I can honestly say, Ohio drivers are NUTS! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Tech Tip: Don't use a metal spatula on a non-stick pan.
The pancakes look good though! We grow our own red raspberries and do the same thing with them in our pancakes.
When I go wheelin' after eating raspberry pancakes, I get an extra three inches in approach, breakover and departure angles. What do the blueberries do for you?

Something that I have to point out to all you Jeep fans that are reading this. Notice that there is not Jeep bashing going on here. There is some Jeep owner bashing, but that is only because of their attitude. Now, you have to get the big picture here, if you go to the Jeep, Toyo and so on forums, there is plenty of unprovoked Hummer bashing going on all the time. So WTF are you complaining about. Do a search on your forum and look at how much of this is going on there. So there was a satirical video that isn't to your liking made. Big F*cking deal. Even with that video, the scales are leaning so far to your side when it comes to who is bashing it is ridiculous.
Who's making the pancakes at PAP this time? Sounds like a great way to start the day.
Dan, I remember that little shopping cart. Real nice guys. But they had some problems.

I would find it a "dishonor" to show pics of our soliders in Iraq dead or blown up in a Jeep video ragging on Hummers. That is how I felt when someone put shots of Hitler in a Jeep.
Just because Jeeps are owned by a german automaker does not give anyone the right..

Damn, Mr. Tool, if you ever visit SoCal, PM me! I'm very curious to see how our stock rides compare. No, not in a childish AUWAUWAUWA-ME-TARZAN! kindda way, more as a genuine curiousity.
Even if your stock TJ out-wheel my stock H2 (very likely, since I'm no expert http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif), one would hope that the video would more clearly show capabilities of each rig (I'm sure I won't embarrass the H2 world too much! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif), and EDUCATE the ignorant masses (starting with a certain clueless moderator http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif).

H2 Recovery Vehicle
07-22-2005, 06:07 PM
Wow, I'm glad to see some of the H2 crowd beginning to come to their senses. Comparing an H2 and a Jeep is kinda like comparing a Cooper Mini, and a Corvette. Both are good for what they were designed to do.
I have been four wheeling for many years, and am active in the off road community. I have wheeled with Jeeps, (mostly), Toys, Samauris, and Hummers - both 1s and 2s.
The H2 does pretty well on Moab sort of terrain where excellent traction exists. For muddy, wet or even varied terrain where traction suffers the Jeep modified or not has a weight advantatage over the H2 - its just too damn heavy. I notice there were no deep mud crossings in the vid - thats because the Jeeps got in deeper in the mud before they got stuck!
Oh, and once a Hummer is stuck its a whip to recover. Yes, I have a Hummer Recovery Sticker on my Jeep - but I earned it.
Several times.
The same day.
One particular H2 took THREE winches to recover it. Two on other Hummers - one an H1 with a warn 12K.
Upshot, lets just wheel and have fun within whatever flavor of wheeling we choose.
Just don't spill your Gray Poupon on those heated seats - and keep the wine chilled!
HummerNewbie
07-22-2005, 06:22 PM
H2 Recovery,
It is obvious that you have not been around here much. It is the jeep crowd that does about 90% of the comparisons of the two and 99% of the brand bashing. You are correct on two things. Both have areas where each is better and lets all just go out wheeling and have fun http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
H2 Recovery Vehicle
07-22-2005, 06:30 PM
I understand the H3 is built on the Chevy Colorado frame and driveline. The Colorado got bashed all over the place in reviews - I wonder how much similar gear comes over to the H3. I assume the engine, tranny and axles are common - different transfer case like the H2 vs Tahoe I suspect.
HummerNewbie
07-22-2005, 06:36 PM
They do share similarities for economic reasons but the H3 is very capable. You can't believe all the reviews. I don't care what type of vehicle it is, there is always a reviewer that is biased against it.
H2 Recovery Vehicle
07-22-2005, 06:53 PM
I would be worried about that 5 cyl. motor - I hear its a bit on the anemic side in the Colorado - H3 must be heavier still.

Based on what the people say that actually drive the H3 every day, it isn't a problem. Not trying to win any drag races.

I believe that people here are generally cool. I am not and never have been a "H2 hater" I am sick of all the bashing and could generally care less. I know it's all in good e-fun.
However if a Jeep owner were to make a video bashing H2's and used footage of our brothers in Iraq in a negative way as ammunition then I believe that he would be "policed" by other Jeep owners.
If Patton were alive he would pistol ANYONE that would put Hitler in a Jeep.
Bashing will continue, stereotypes will be plenty. No reason to cross the line.
Please be aware that if you are going to make a video, you can make comparasons in a respectful way. I have no problem being a burger flipper, I actually saw the video of yo guys in Moab before someone edited the vs. Jeep stuff. I was impressed.
But if you want to cross the line (which someone did IMO) then you will be called out.
hope to see you on the trails.

well...since I am nearest to the Jeep core I will make a few comments.
I have driven many jeeps, they are designed for different markets besides the U.S.
I drove a 5.7 hemi commander and it had power up the wasu, but it rides so close to the ground it may have issue grinding accrossed the rocks in Moab. I think the grand cherokee is another of the fine road vehicles we produce, its a good all around soccer mom ride, and if push comes to shove it will go offroad. the liberty is ok if you like them, but even the Michigan jeepers website doesn't have a category for them. the wranglers are good at what they do offroad because they have very good weight distribution(almost equal on 4 corners)makes for an easy to manuver vehicle. I personally have treed a couple going through very tough offcamber corners on sand. we tried the same trail in a ZJ and it wedged against a tree and we had to get out and push in order to save the sheetmetal. If I had the opertunity to take my H2 in the trails where we do our testing I am sure it would gring the bark off the trees, but its ability to follow a jeep anywhere is only limited by the narrowness of the obstacles.

That's because we face the same elitist BS from the some of the Jeep community that you guys do. The Liberty is far more capable (even in stock configuration) than it is given credit for. Throw on a 2-3" lift and some better tires and it will go anywhere most Wranglers will. I've proved it.

I had a 2003 KJ Renegade and the only reason I got rid of it was because of the ground clearance and LACK of a quality suspension from aftermarket providers...
I know Rusty is still working on a SAS kit for them...but until someone actually makes a replacement A-arm for the front suspension to give you more ground clearance and engineering it with the balljoint lifespan in mind there will still be days when the "salty" jeep owners will still give KJ owners a hard time - mainly because of the IFS...
Just wheel it...
MR Tool
07-25-2005, 04:23 PM
Easy there hoss. Liberty's that are wheeled get thier respect. I have wheeled wih many, just like anything mostly determined by driver.
This post is for my STOCK Rubicon vs any STOCK H2.
The fact of the matter is:
Most trails are cut by jeeps and wheeled by jeeps, therefore they are not "wide vehicle friendly"
LWB has advantages at some obstacles
SWB has advantages at some obstacles
IFS is great for street ride
SFA is great for offroad
I am locked.
You are not.
I can on and on and it won't matter because people belive what they believe, and when they are proven wrong they will make an excuse to back up thier claim.
so in short:
anyone that believes that a STOCK RUBICON is not a MORE CAPABLE OFF-ROAD out of the box, hardcore, fancy-schmancy, wheeling gift of the gods that is by matter of pure physics BETTER than an H2 never will.

Superlift is doing some promising work with a 4" lift for the KJ.. they've done some work with the A arms and have dropped the cradle for the front diff. I'm eagerly awaiting it, they say it should be ready sometime this fall.. however many people are running the Rusty's 2.5" full Spring lift without any problems right now.
Mr. Tool, I know not all (actually not even the majority) of Jeepers look down on the KJ, but alot do..

[QUOTE]If Patton were alive he would pistol ANYONE that would put Hitler in a Jeep.QUOTE]
Tool, you can't quite seem to wrap your brain around the fact that NO ONE here "PUT" Hitler in a Jeep. That is a picture that is already out on the "Internet". Seriously man, there was no conspiracy to digitally edit Hitler into a pic just to make Jeeps look bad.....the pic already existed. In no way am I saying the picture used was not a fake, simply that the image existed long before this pissing contest.
I only post this because you seem waaaaay worked up over that pic specifically...hopefully you can sleep at night now knowing it was not created by one of our Hummer brethren. ;-)
That said, chill the **** out, I'd like to see the jeepers putting half the effort into ensuring "factual information" regarding other brands that they have put forth in questioning this video. It's really funny to me how often people become "keepers of the truth" only when what is being spouted as fact(incorrectly) reflects negatively on them. Not a slam on you directly but I honestly find it odd that so many jeepers are suddenly concerned with facts when they have a clear and overwhelming pattern of not caring about them with regard to other brands.....
Honestly, there is no way you haven't seen numerous posts by other jeepers bashing tacos or Hummers, how often have you spent the time to correct their "facts"?
