I just noticed my first leather tear--for any of my cars. It's a small pinch-like tear in the middle, second row seat. I can only theorize that while I had the seat pulled forward, it jammed into ?something? Maybe my umbrella?! I have no idea.
Anyway, I was just looking for advice. There is an upholestry shop down from where I work, so I might pop in there and ask advice...but what do y'all think?
Thanks in advance,
Loren S. Teillon

Just get that panel replaced. Not real hard, any upholstery shop can do, if you can get your dealer to get the right color material. Otherwise a good shop should be able to match. Lets see if your dealer is really in to customer satisfaction. /infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Replace before Repair. Sometimes repair looks OK, but REPLACE is best

I had a Yukon XL and had a seat tear in the same kind of area. Check to see that the framing inside does not have a burr on it and when you place the seat down it slices the leather. That is what happened to me and the dealer sent me to an trim shop. They took that piece of seat out and fixed it, I returned in the afternoon and they put it in and invoiced the dealer.
