View Full Version : Looking for a racing seat that can take a real pounding.
Does anyone know of a seat made for off road truck racing or off-shore boat racing that is made to take a severe beating with someone sitting in it?
The intended purpose is for mounting in a boat to replace the supsension seats that are already in there and that are not able to handle the violent landings.
Thanks

I know that the H2 is a pretty rugged vehicle, but i don't think the leather seats can withstand such punishment. You might want to try asking in a racing boat forum. good luck!

In all the tuners cars and the road race cars We build or help with We like Tenzo seats. They are in Dragons's show Celica but We have the Tenzo in Our road racer/drifter racer. Most of the guys go with tenzo on steering wheels as well.
Sparco is another seat that is good. It is used allot in Europe. Do not know why or really thought about it enough to research it, sorry. But, I would go to search and type in, review car racing seats, and you may get some good ideas.
But We deal with allot of small tuner racers and I know Dragon uses Tenzo.
But search for reviews and be safe that way. I do not have any problems about the ones I recommened. But, keep in mind a race seat will not be the most comfortable seat. they are not really made for that but, I'm sure there are some that are way better than others.

mastercraft i would think would make some excellent, quality seats. recaro's are sooooooo comfortable, but don't know about durability. i wouldn't recommend the tenzo's on the durability part, but great for cutting roads in the mountain side.
the glyde-ride look incredibly uncomfortable!
