Just left my dealership and was told that a torn CV boot cover will no longer be covered under the warranty for an H1. I was also made aware that my rotors have "hot spots" in them due to differential grease leaking on them from a compromised seal. Becasue the brake pads are involved, AMG is trying to get out of covering the repairs, for the components. I am more than willing to cover the cost of the pads, but the other repair items seems to be a result of the seal failure. I am a little upset about the change in coverage of components as well, they are balking at covering ball joints as well. Arent we driving the ultimate off road vehicle? I am mad that they are changing my warranty in the middle of the game. I have ALL maintanance documented and have been an advocate for the little issues that seem to pop up all of the time, but now it seems that AMG wants them to be driven on the street only. Thanks for the ear.

My understanding was a torn CV boot is considered incidental damage and was never covered as it is from hitting an object. The ball joints and leaking diff seal on the other hand, should be covered regardless. Technically and legally, they cannot change the coverage of a warranty as it is a contract between you, the buyer, and AMG.

I had a CTIS hose (the one that connects the hub to the "T") replaced after a long tree/log went between my tire and frame replaced.
