Called the local dealer, they want $10k for a vortech installation (no affect on warrenty).
Called AZmarine and they want $5.7k for a magnasun (uses the eton supercharger) intercooled kit. This price includes the magnasun warranty supercharger warrenty as well as a engine extended warrenty that is supposed to help up to $5k towards any engine problems (factory engine warrenty will be voided with this kit).
I'm inclined to go with the magnasun. Any recomendations or experience with either incall?
thanks in advance.

Does that $5,700 include installation? If it doesn't I would say bad deal, you can get that charger cheaper than that. With installation I would say go for it, Magna is the best one to get.

Yes the $5.7k cost included the magnasun kit, the engine warranty ($200) and installation.

Go for it, you will be very happy!

The Magna for sure. You want the boost throughout the entire torque range. The Vortech doesn't kick in until the higher rpm range which is where you want it with this heavy of a vehicle. You won't regret it for a minute!

Go with the Magnacharger. I just had mine installed by a local dealer. I purchased the kit and they installed it for $ 925.00. The difference in power is incredible, especially shifting into second gear. Constant pull. The only thing that I can see so far that may be of concern to someone is the whine when the supercharger is engaged. But I think its a very cool sound. Definite give away. Have fun.

Hell the sound is half the fun! I'm gonna have to have my exhaust quieted down a bit from the ear shattering rumble it has now so that I can hear the charger.
Frank, trust me, you will hear it fine. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
