Does anyone know whether there is an alternative to that screwed antenna? I think it's way to long. Actually I do not use it, because I think that it's damn ugly... I don't use the FM a lot anyway.

However, I use my iPod with an FM transmitter on my other cars... so that's pretty much the only reason for me to use that antenna.

I would love to have a mini antenna (e.g. like the one on the roof for onStar and the XM stuff). One which you wouldn't have to remove if you wash the car.

Any ideas? Which antennas would be compatible?

I picked up the ax-16 shorty antenna from http://www.antennax.com. its excellent...reception is the same as the large antenna...

Nice H3, well, I order the same antenna. I found that when we drive in more mountain areas, and tree covered roads, you may experience more cut offs. So, I returned to the issued Antenna. It looks cool.

I've had my shorty antenna for more than a month now and I haven't been able to hear any significant reduction in FM/AM signal strength. However I generally do listen to XM.

The shorter antenna looks so much nicer than the long OEM antenna, the decision to put one one was a no-brainer for me.
