There's been a ton of talk about huge rims for the H3, but not much on tire and wheel combo's for offroading.

Today, at Hall Hummer, I saw an H3 with 325/60/18's. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_eek.gif Super fat Terra Grapplers that had about 2.5"'s of overhang outside the fenders.

The truck looked great. I don't know what kind of rims were on it, but I can find out and get pics when I pick up my H2 in a day or so.

I'd take that truck offroad in a heartbeat. It looked agile and stabile.

2.5" overhang is palin stupid, both for on road and offroad.

You want the wheel/tire combo to be more or less in the stock position so that the wheel can articluate and not foul the fenders etc.

You also want to maintain the turning ratio as close as possible to stock or you will be doing three point turns on the trail - not recommended http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Wheel/tire combos?

Run whatever tire you want on whatever wheel.
I'm a big Super Swamper fan but I also like MT/Rs.
