Hey check out this Cabelas site. It has a cool Flat water tank and Flat Fuel Tank!
Flat Tanks! (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/pod/horizontal-pod.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/pod-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21412&rid=&indexId=cat20153&navAction=push&navCount=2&parentType=index&parentId=cat20153&id=0006060)
They look like they would fit very nicely on the Gobi rack without taking up much space! You can even stack a bunch of stuff on top of it!

See what y'all think!

at 3.2gal each you'll need to stack a bunch http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Of course, nobody actually uses the spare fuel tanks. So looks are of most importance. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I like them. I guess you could also stack some in a plastic tub in the back.

This is what you need on a Gobi for plenty of extra fuel.

Moeller® Portable Fuel Tanks (http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/horizontal-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=MainCatcat21276&id=0000958012942a&navCount=5&podId=0000958&parentId=cat420004&navAction=push&catalogCode=UF&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat420004&hasJS=true)

All you really need to do is make sure you go wheeling with Adam. He carries 80-90 gallons everywhere he goes. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'm sure if I had extra time in the Library(Crapper) I would've found those too! I'm looking at the smaller ones as a multi-vehicle use product. Can use several for the Jeep/H2/H3 or use one or two for the ATV. I agree they are a little pricey, but what's walking atleat 25 miles in the desert or snow worth to you? Not to mention, it would make one hell of a cool bon-fire fuel source when you've been drinking all night! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I don't know about you, but the idea of a highly flammable liquid over my head in a vehicle loaded with electronics, well, makes me cringe a bit. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

How much weight would the 15 gallon tank add to the top of the car? About 80 lbs? That could come in handy when camping in remote areas.

Adam needs the extra fuel in case he needs to make a run for smokes.

15x6=90lbs

The 3-4 places I checked online mostly said gasoline was around 6lbs per gallon
