So 4 times now the OnStar has dialed by itself 3 while driving and once while I was cleaning the car with the keys in the ignition.
One of the times it called the emergency number. What gives? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Just wondered where you were http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
Sounds like a problem either in the module (VCIM), the mirror or wiring.

I don't have the stock radio so the wiring may be the issue. But I have had this new radio for months with no isse, so I don't think it would happen now.
I know the mirro has a power button on it - does that turn OnStar off? or just the mirror (temperature)

Hey H3 Hummer,
I got the same problem after I went thru a "drive thru carwash". The Onstar system started to come on every minute or so for at least 30 minutes. When I took it to the Dealer, They told me that the antenna seal was leaking and that was causing the short. They went ahead and re-sealed it. I didn't have any more problem. So have your dealer reseal the antenna area and you should be OK.

Hmm, that is very interesting. I had about 2 feet of snow on top of the truck right before this started happening. The snow probably melted and leaked down there and shorted it out.
I will take it in and tell them. I appreciate your assistance. Who would have ever thought.
