Hey all ran across this thread and I love the black HID setup with the surrounds black as well.

I have already painted my grille from chrome to the body color of black and want to do this HID setup.

Check out this link to this thread and take a look at the pics.

My question is how do the H2 and H3 light assys differ from eachother?

I really like how the bulb surround and the square headlight bezel is vlack as well...is that square piece around each light on the H2's removable? basically how did he achieve the look. I want to do the same on my H3 but really want to know if it can be doen with the same effect.

Let me know
Thanks Mike

This is where he said he bought them from and then he used black dupicolor bed liner to spray them black. He's not sure if they will fit the H3, just call the company and see.

HIDs are awesome... but I think that kit takes away from the "Hummer" look with the round lights.

Instead, get the retro fit HID kit. Uses your current housing except there is a gas filled bulb, balast and igniters. You still get the same results. However the beam pattern will be slightly different as the housing now isnt projectors. one more thing... much less. the retro kits are only $299.
