I've taken her to the dealer 5 times. My H2 has a funny squealing sound when (and only when) I turn my wheels either direction. It's not excessively loud, but quite annoying. It kind of sounds like brake squeal, but not as sharp.

Anyway, in the first 4 trips the dealer: replace the serpentine belt, replaced the steering column, adjusted the brakes, replaced a different belt (can't remember which one).

Now, during this fifth visit they have(with counsel from Hummer):
-replaced of front brakes
-replaced power steering pump
-replaced alternator
-Replace steering (outer and internals)
-Adjusted something on the shocks (a Hummer tech support suggestion)
-"other things" as described by my service advisor

They have spend hours on the phone with Hummer, hours out in the parking lot with a stethoscope, and have brought in their experienced Chevy mechanics. Still can't figure it out.

I was just informed that they are flying in a technician from Hummer to diagnose the problem. I'm sure that I'm not important enough to justify a fly-in, but I do remember them telling me that they have had about 9 similar complaints.

Glad they give free rentals cars - I've put nearly 700 miles on a Cadillac Deville. I'm starting to get used to it!

Any thoughts or suggestions?

Is it Medved? I'm having a rough popping in the front left when braking/turning and I'm hesitatnt to take it in because of this kind of issue.

Yep, Medved. I wouldn't blame them too much. Even Hummer can't diagnose it. Actually, I've had nothing but great service from them.

I called Medved today to schedule an appt. The front end has not been right since I jacked the tie rod. They had some parts waiting for me anyway. I'll have them replace the broken mirror, too.

Hey guys, it's Ryan...Adam, it sound like your "bushings" in your sway-bars are shot. They will go if your doing too much flexing without them disconnected, on any car....I'm going down to "Wilderness Off-Road" after work to pick up a new pair of JKS Disconnects so I can disconnect on the trails. I was getting a terrible "popping" just as you described. I had a buddy jump up and down on my bumper and I could see the Bushings were shot from the last trip to Bill Moore....make sure you have them look at this...I would put money on it that you just need new Sway Bars Links...

Same Here... Had my truck in the shop for 3 days, said they fixed the squeeking, but they didnt, its still there. I am not sure exzactly what they replaced but i know it had to be ordered.

In Florida we have a lemon law, that states after 3 trips to the dealer for the same issue, they must refund or replace your vehicle. I have heard this is very hard to get done. I just want my truck to stop squeeking.....

Alec,
Mine is a Wheat Ridge and I normally deal with Jackie.

...I'm starting to wonder if I should change the oil in my rental car every 3000 miles.

Check your lower control arm bolts and also your front axle attachment bolts there are three of them.
