Since i'm about to get new wheels and tires, what happens to my tire sensors?
Can I purchase another set from the dealer for the new wheels and tires? Or do I have to remove the ones from my stockies and transfer them over to the new set?
thanks

I don't see why you couldn't just remove them from your stocks and put them on the new set. They just come off with 1 nut.

The only reason why i asked my question is... How much cheaper is it to just buy another set?
...or is it cheaper to dismount four tires grab the sensors and mount them on the new set?

$49 at the dealer, $34.69 plus shipping at alldiscountparts, each.

I'm guessing it would be cheaper to dismount and remove. Unless you are planning on having 2 sets ready to use, then just buy new sensors.

If you dismount them and install on the new wheels, you don't have to do the relearn procedure http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif. Saves time, and besides, they only take a few seconds to remove from each wheel. Just make sure you remove the gasket and install on new rim.

F5 - I'm getting a send set of wheels and tires for wheeling (OEM TakeOffs). I don't really want to spend another $250 for another set of sensors.
Other than the warning in the display about low tire pressure, will there be any other warnings than can't be disabled with a press of the odometer button?
