Reason I ask is that K.W. Muth is looking for someone with an H3, that they could install a set of Signal mirrors.
I have talked with one of their techs in regard to installing signal mirrors on the vehicle. They have played around with the mirror assembly to figure out how to route the wires, I have disassembled and destroyed one, and we discussed this procedure.
I have given him information on where to tap into the turn signal wires, where on the vehicle is a good place, and gave him some illustrations.
However, before releasing them for sale, they want to try it themselves. So, if anyone is interested, please contact me and I can put you in contact with Chris, their lead tech.
If not one is available, keep the faith if you are interested. I will then install a set on my Hummer, taking photos and giving recommendations to Chris. However, I will be out of town for about a week and not available to experiment.

I can say this, removing the two door trim panels on both front doors is very easy, removing the mirrors from the doors is very easy. After Chris dissected a mirror, after I destroyed one, the procedure to route the wire inside the mirror to the door is easy too. Tapping into the wires, is the big question. I recommended removing both kick panels, and tapping into the rear turn signal circuits. The wires run out of the BCM, one goes down the driver's side to the rear turn signal, the other goes down the passenger side.
Front signals are hard to tap into since the wiring loom that goes from the BCM to the front lights has a billion wires, and goes through the bulkhead to the underhood fuse/relay block.
Any takers?

PS Muth makes the majority of the factory equipped signal mirrors for the auto industry.

Looking like I'll have to do the install in a few weeks. I'll take plenty of photos.
