Anyone know how to make the '05 navigation system allow inputs while driving and not while stopped or in park. The guys in service kinda hinted that there was a way to get this done. I am Nav junkie and have had them in all my cars. The H2 is the only one that does not let me input new addresses or phone numbers on the go... maybe someone on the forum is close to a GM H2 tech who can tell us how to bypass this "safety" feature.

Go to your local stereo shop with $100 bucks and about a 1/2 hr of time, and be very nice and make sure they know you know thats its really a no-no and you will keep it hushed up....that should do it for you...dont go to a big chain like good guys or best buy etc...a local privately owned shop is the onnly place that would consider doing this

This might work.

I'm pretty sure the bypass code is a myth on the H2. I did a good amount of research on the subject and spent way too much time trying to hack the system. No luck.

The linked-to thread above discusses an alternative approach, which does work on the '03 so just might on the '05.

I have a 05 SUT and my nav works at all times. This is the way I got it from the dealer. So there could very possibly be a code that turns it on and off.

I wonder if it's not a code issue, rather a wiring issue
