IPOD2car dip switch settings

I connected an IPOD2car for my 2006 H2 with XM. I used #8 dip switch. What a pain in the A*& to get to the radio. I left the xm connected behind the glove box. I have ONSTAR Working, IPOD and muffled XM. Any suggestions on what settings 7 or 8 and what should I expect to work.
