Just wanted to see how things went with Dish Network. I emailed them and they told me I would have to subscribe to Sirius and to email Sirius about the situation. I think I just got in touch with someone who has no clue about it!

Sorry for not following up on this. I called Sirius, Dish Network, Radio Shack, Sears and 2 retailers. Only one retailer even knew what I was talking about.

Both customer service departments at Sirius and Dish asked me to point them to the web page that mentioned this. Neither could find anyone that knew anything about it and told me to contact the other company.

The retailer has the receivers available but you sign up for the regular Sirius programming and he said that Dish just be another Sirius seller and has "branded" a receiver with their logo, but he had it and was paying for the normal Sirius service.

So, my question to all was, "there is no difference between going and buying a regular Sirius reciever vs. the Dish Sirius receiver, no benefit at all since I am currenlty a Dish subscriber." Alls comments where "I guess."

I got extremely frustrated with it and gave up. Check with your local Dish Network installation companies and see if they can shed any light. Good Luck, I have moved this one down on the list until someone figures this out and before I go postal.

This explains it. $99 for the reciver and kit plus you have to pay $12.95/month for programming
