Got a service (been doing my own) reminder letter from the dealership (Hummer of Columbus) and noticed that they would "Add KREX Graphite Additive" as part of the service.
Anyone had this added during a oil change, what is your thoughts on it, snake oil or something to look into?
Found the site of the manufacturer http://www.krexinc.com/

P.S. Did do a search here http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif and didn't see anything on KREX.

Yeah, it says it is not an additive but a supliment to the oil. Isn't that the same thing. When I drove Honda accords they recommended it.

I'm always wary of additives that have solids in them - graphite, teflon, etc.

I'd skip it and just use a good synthetic oil.

totally agree with Dan on this. use a good quality syn oil and a good filter - forget about the additive stuff.
