Here are a few i know of,there will be more manufactures im sure as time goes by.
Myself im waiting for a system thats worth its cost. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Borla (http://www.borla.com/applications/lookup.aspx/2006/Hummer/H3/Stainless_Steel_Cat-Back_System/140166/)

Billy Boat (http://www.bbexhaust.com/New/auto-html.asp?page=h3.html)

The H3 Source (sma system ?) (http://www.h3source.com/store/10033001.htm)

Stylinconcepts (magnaflow) (http://www.stylinconcepts.com/part.aspx?partid=497859&scid=froogle)

Teaka Toys (GLH System) (http://www.teakatoys.com/products/showproduct.php/3452.html)

The Billy Boat system is the one sold by SMA. We've put one on, had a lot of issues getting it put on correctly, and it just didn't have the right sound. The Corsa will be expensive, but I think it'll be worth it.

One other thing to keep in mind about exhausts... can't tell you how many times I saw trailer hitches get banged around last time I was out. If you offroad... chrome exhaust nozzels are cool, and look great. But if they are not tucked under... where nobody can see em... they may get pancaked. I totally underated those advertised clearance angles.

Tony I have the SMA exhaust and I like it alot.I can confirm that the exhaust Tips will get damaged when off-roading.The last time at Sunday River back in October I did bend my Tip a little bit.I would highly recommend staying away from Teaky Toys they are crazy on thier prices. You should keep in mind that there will be some inside cabin noise.

To Answer your question. All of the systems pretty much perform the same, maybe a slight change in note per system, but they flow pretty much the same.of course each manufacture will claim otherwise. WannabeH3 was jokeing (i think?)about the glass pack, but the truth is The pack flows even better. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

So far a lot of speculation about exhaust systems.

Other than some good feedback about the SMA exhaust by a half dozen H3 owners, the rest has been less than useful.

Maybe we can get some real feedback on the Corsa system.

Oh no im not jokin haha i did that on a v6 car and it sounded great! and only cost 50 bucks! im scared to do it to the h3 tho just in case it sucks with the 5 banger... i dunno how easy it is to re-put on the suitcase after you cut it off.... or if it messes with any sensors..

We also ordered the GM exhaust kit for the H3 today, it was just made available for order. It was designed by Borla. I'm planning on taking sound samples and putting them on our website at 1000, 3000, and 5000 rpm for each exhaust system we offer as well, to help everyone out.

Hi, Zoomers exhaust has recently inquired about becoming a supporting vendor here and we hope to up and running soon...Would anyone be interested in testing the New Zoomers Cat-Back for the forums? We'd make it worth your while...Please contact me or post here if your interested. Or if you'd like call me so we can discuss the details. Ron 866-4ZOOMERS

First Hummer:

1. Did you go back to stock intake?
2. If so, how is the sound now with your SMA exhaust?

I drove the dealers H3 with both SMA intake and SMA exhaust installed and I thought a lot of noise was coming from the front (intake).

thanks,

Yea packs do sound great. Nothing like straight through Exhaust, here's a wav file of my 93-mustang gt with Dynomax RV glass packs. The packs lasted about 3 years before they burned out, add 3-inch chrome Cannons. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
93 mustang gt wav. (http://www.geocities.com/edspad/93gtStartRevWC.wav)

If my H3 sounded like that then it would be packs for sure, but im afraid of sounding more like the ups truck..

I was looking at one of the Colorado truck forums and found these video's with sound. The guy has used a Flowmaster 50 Delta flow series. As we know the Colorado truck has the same I-5 engine.

http://coloradofans.com/viewtopic.php?t=16790&highlight=soundclip

What do you think? I can always ask a local muffler shop to make a custom exhaust.

Cool Link H3Eric, that doesnt sound bad at all.
How would you mount that? forward where the front Res would be or in the back with a short drop off tail pipe like the factory ?

H3Eric

I think you could mount it the same way as the one in the zoomers exhaust pictures earlier in this thread.

Aren't all these exhaust systems just a different muffler, some piping and a couple "TIPS". A muffler for $100.00 and two tips at $50 each with a muffler shop welding it all together shouldn't be more than $250 or $300 bucks. Am I missing something? The dyno charts all pretty much look the same to me (not that I know what they mean). I will be upgrading my exhaust but at what price? Am I just paying for a pretty package when I buy the system complete? And, these tips will be torn off or at least damaged with any sort of offroading except maybe fireroads.

hmrlvr-

Dude! I completely agree. If we are talking about power, a flowmaster Series 50 w/single exhaust installed by Midas with 2-1/2" alumaweld pipe will give you as good performance + they can bend it wherever you want (out of the way of the rocks too!). Why spend $1k or higher on exhaust. I'd rather spend $300 on exhaust, skip the cold air intake (with the goopy oil-filled, clog-your MAP sensor K&N filter), get nicer tires, a nice brush guard, and merge BEHIND that porsche on the freeway instead of racing to get in front of them.

Too many damn wannabes on this damn forum. Makes me want to go back to NAXJA. Of course, that's the holiday beer talking, but whatever...

I just had the Magnaflow system installed on Tuesday. The shop said it was a piece of cake to install and the fit and finish is great. I wasn't sure about it just based on the sound clips on the Magnaflow website but now that it's on I like it so far. It sounds much better than it did stock. They also installed an AirRaid intake and between the two there is a little more low end power.

We recommend at least a high flow filter like a drop in K&N to help more air into the intake. The theory is more air out more air in. If you want Zoomers give me a call... Ron 949-916-3240
