Amazing. I e-mailed the seller asking for ID before I called my attorney.

Adam, just wanted to let you know that I have handled a few cases like this and the bad thing, there is little you can do.

An angle for you to persue is that you feel your safety had been jepordized by the posting of this photo because it shows your house. Ask the guy to remove it and hopefully he will.

When a photo is posted, software can prevent the capturing the image, but there are ways around that. But if you haven't suffered a loss, been unfairly targeted, slander or in this case LIABLE, then not much can be done.

Just though I would tell you this before you let this guy piss you off too much. I agree he needs to get his own photos, but the posting does nothing that really hurts you, except that security thing, which is the angle I would explore..........

EBAY may be interested.......maybe?

Adam,

You'll need to check with your attorney of course, but I believe that photos are considered "intellectual property" and are protected by copyright laws. According to my understanding, copyright protection arises automatically when an "original" work of authorship is "fixed" in a tangible medium of expression...in other words, a photo automatically falls under copyright protection at the moment of creation and it does not have to be registered to be protected.

The following link explains eBay's policy on protecting intellectual property:
