I know some of you guys have reservations about the whole "chrome" thing... http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
But we just did this for one of our customers, would love to know what you guys think....

I for one, like some chrome on the H2's. I think it makes them look pretty sweet.
The one in the pic looks good. Needs chrome pull handels and hood latches.

Thanks guys........I think it looks pretty "sweet"....as with anything else, you always need more....lol....this was all he wanted at the time.
The difference between chrome and polished is that polished is aluminum, after a while it will oxidize and slowly get dull. You have to continue to polish it or have it coated with a clear coat. Then I don't know how long it will last.
Chrome is steel, the chrome is actually plated on electrodes, it will never dull, all you gotta do is keep it clean. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Some say that chrome chips worse than polished but I think it's actually about the same, depends on how you treat it.
And I have no idea what satin is.......lol http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I agree Mr. Phil.......the stick on chrome looks tacky. I also think he needed a grill insert but we could only talk him into so much *lol*
Thanks for the compliment http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

However, while I may not like the whole chrome look, that vehicle looks pretty good. It doesn't look cheap and tacky like many of them do, the ones with the silly stick on chrome bits everywhere. Nice clean job.

The only additional things I may consider would be a polished skid plate and/or bullet hole stainless grille insert.

I like a little accents here and there, but some that I have seen just have way too much on them. This one looks good.

quote:
whats the dif. with Chrome, satin and polished?

Satin is when something is textured to break up the reflected light.
Like the difference between glossy or matte photos.

Here is a sample of aluminum with a satin finish (from bead blasting) and polished finish along with a grain or brushed stainless steel.

By the way, Cubby, those H2’s look super sweet. I personally love the black & chrome one.
