I really like the H3 and have test drove one about a month ago. I'm 6'3" and I noticed the steering wheel was a little close to my legs when I got in the vehicle. With adjustment of the seat ( power)i managed to drive fine but still thought the wheel was too close. I would like to hear from H3 owners who are 6+ foot tall. Any problems with adjusting seats/controls? Thoughts on headroom/legroom.
Thanks

I'm 6'2" and have had no problems. I work with a guy who is 6'6" and has no problems. My 6'6" kid drove it and had no problems.
Yes, the seat goes back, and if the wheel is fully lowered, you cannot get your knee up between the door and the wheel.

My friend weights 350 lbs and no problem. Plenty of room..

The seat was probably raised up.
I'm 6'5 with long legs, and I have enough room.
My knees come fairly close, but I can still fit my hands between the steering wheel and my legs.

I'm 6'2'' and it's comfortable for the most part. My suburban's seat was higher off the floor than the h3's is and was a little more comfortable for long hauls. The h3 is still pretty roomy up front though.

I'm 6'3" - I have a little problem with the clearence of my knees under the steering wheel when getting in, but its fine once I'm "aboard".
I have had a little problem with the left foot placement (see other threads) - seems the "dead pedal" angle is too upright for comfort imho?

6' even...perfect fit. "In like a glove"
6'2. No problems. I love the seats. Rate very high on the comfort scale.

6'2" as well and though I don't have the H3 seat time you guys do, I am impressed with the amount of leg room there is. One of only a few vehicles I have been in that I didn't wish the seat went back a little further.

6'2" and even the H2 gives me rug burn to the head. Not sure about the H3.

6'3" 220 lbs. Yes, I noticed it was close as well, but once you learn how to jump in (I've got the 33 inch tires on the Offroad Suspension Package), it's not a problem.

Im 6-5 and have no problems ,,, BUT I have size 18 feet and thats a problem. The brake pedal is to close to the footfeed, My dealer said they have had some calls on this problem and there might be a fix on the way. OK So I had to take the rubber cover off the brake pad and hacksaw a 1/4 inch off the right side of the brake pad to get my big old foot to not hit the brake pedal, Dosnt look pretty but I have room now. The rubber pad will never fit back on again but I really dont care. Funny what a guy with big feet will do to cope... :-)

I had a 2 foot, peanut-eyed, cornbacked brown snake last week. It made me ride slightly higher in my seat until I got rid of it.

My dad is 6'4 and the only problem he had when he drove my H3 is the petals being to close together.

Do H3s come with flowers? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gifhttp://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
No but VW bugs come with a flower vase. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I can't imagine that an H3 is the best vehicle for a super tall person. The combination of the floor being 2 feet off the ground and the cool chop-top styling makes for a rather short cabin (by SUV standards). But the front legroom (length wise) is very good which helps the tall people.
I'm only 5'9" so the H3 fits easily.

["what fix have you heard from your dealer regarding the brake pedal and accelerator pedal being to close".)

The issue with getting out (no matter how tall you are) is that the steering wheel does not tilt "up" as far as most vehicles in the market.

They said they had a few complaints about the brake pedal to close.. The last time I talked to them they hadnt heard anything about the fix. I kinda think they were just saying that to please me. If I hear anymore about a fix Ill post...

I'm 6'3" and once i heard the H3 was coming out that was my big question- HEADROOM???, and i wanted a sunroof no question.
There is enough headroom for me in the H3 with factory sunroof, and i sat in an H3 with an after market sunroof and there was even more room, but i wanted the bigger factory sunroof because it was 2ft by 3ft, the after market one was smaller and so the inside roof actually went up toward the sunroof giving more head room , compared to the flat ceiling of the factory sunroof.
oh and i sat in an H3 with lux option with factory sunroof and there is less headroom because the electric seats sits higher than the seats that arent electric.
and as someone said earlier, my only problem is that the pedals are too close, but im used to it now.
you know what they say about guys with big feet?
need more headroom.

I am 6'7" and was surprised to find out that I do fit in the H3 rather comfortably! The only problems I found were:
1. The door armrest and center console armrest were too low, and placing my elbow up near the window just felt awkward.
2. The rearview mirror always appeared to be "in the way" although this could be my imagination.
3. Looking out the rearview mirror was another oddity.
Other than that the H3 was very nice from a tall person's point of view. By the way, I MUST fit in a vehicle comfortably, otherwise I will not even consider the purchase.
