I picked up the chrome front bumper letters from the dealer and was wondering what the best procedure for installation is? Can I use rubbing alcohol on the insert part of the letters to prep the surface? Do you apply that 3M glue to the rubber pads behind the letters also? These are the oem chrome letters from the dealer. Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks! Mery Christmas!!

I got mine from H2 parts, and they supplied an adhesive promotor, that worked with the two-sided tape already on the letters. Installed, and that was months ago, and they are still there, and been through a few power washes.

cool, thanks. They did come with the 3m adhesive promotor so I will use that first and they should be fine!

Just installed them. That 3M adhesive promotor is some good stuff. Had the H3 washed this afternoon so the car would be free of dirt and then I wiped down any wetness on the bumper and let it dry. The I opened that little applicator and got all inside the letters on the bumper, let it sit just a couple of mins and then peeled and stuck the letters on. Piece of cake. Thanks guys, it looks great and you can't beat the fit on those oem letters. They go right in there like a glove!

Not sure. Mine came from my dealer and were $60. From what I understand the aftermarket ones don't fit as well.
