I was curious if anyone has taken their H2 through deep water. Does anyone know how resistant to water the door seals are if they are submerged?

I have had mine in deep water a couple of times. In fact deeper than I'm sure your suppose to. I forded a stream where the water level was easily over the door sills and had no water leakage at all. Also have driven through several mud pools where I have had large volumes of water pour over the hood without issue. I am running a stock air filter though and I have heard that the aftermarket performance ones might be more prone to water injestion.

If you keep your forward motion constant you won't have any problems with the deep water. BUT if you happen to get stuck- YOU'RE SCREWED!!!! The triple door seals are a joke. I sank mine in a stream( after my f***ing air suspension went out) and the the water came in pretty easily. I was at about a 45 degree angle leaning to the right and the water came in from the bottom of the door. I know, because I watched it http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif . I bought an electric dehumidifier and dried my H2 out until the carpets were bone dry. It's been 6 months since it happened and there's not even a whiff of anything musty or mildewy.
So the moral of the story is to keep up the forward motion when playing in the water.
