I figured out how to get my spare on the roof of my new Gobi rack.

Now I just need to figure out how to tow Big Joe around so I can get it down.

You know, all you need to do is put a moving blanket on the roof and let it hang over the rear glass. You should be able to lift the tire up enough to slide it up on the rear edge. Thats how I did it. Too bad that lift wasn't always available though. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
I also keep one of those puncture repair kits in the back as a first option.

well, if you can't figure out how to tow big joe around. a gobi ladder would be your next best bet..............

Yeah, I have the ladder and now need to install it. I have to drill a hole to put it on and I have to decide what side to put it on.

no no no! It's either for a RH side or LH side. The ladders are different for each side. So you cannot switch a RH side ladder to the LH side.
Drill that hole last after you have it mounted. and take a litle touch up paint or silicone to prevent future rusting.
If you have Q's give me a call or a PM.

Getting it down is easy. Just throw it and hope it doesn't bounce too far. You've solved the really tough part of getting it up there.
