View Full Version : off roadin'
Going to a "Happening" (in CT) this weekend and I have a base model. Has anyone had problems off road with the mud flaps or side steps? I guess I'm wondering if I should look into taking them off for the day...ideas??

Not sure about the mud flaps but I would definitely take the side steps off.

take your side steps off, mudflaps are fine, they bend pretty good

I don't have an H3, but I was at Paragon this past weekend, and a guy there had one with the side steps. Our guide pointed out to him that they would most likely be damaged on the trail we were about to do, so the guy ended up leaving for the day. I would suggest you remove them before you go.

well i do have an h3, and this is what you will be doing at the hummer happenings. this would rip off your side steps:

as would this part.

so speaking from experience, i highly reccomend taking them off.
you can see the mudflaps are fine in this video where i scrape the rear one:

CTH3 - where in CT is the Happening? Did your dealer tell you about it, or how did you find out?
Thanks

If your interested take route 9 to exit 7. Take a left onto route 82 at the blinking light. Take a right at the first light. (still route 82)You will go over a bridge and past the Goodspeed Opera House and bear right at the fork staying on 82.Follow for about 1.75 miles and take a right at the stop sign.Go another 1.75 miles and look to the right for dirt road and steel gate. The dealership called me about this and faxed the directions. Hope to see ya there.
