I just made a trip from the Pittsburgh area to Harrisbug. I had under 400 mileson my H3 when the trips started. for the 475 mile trip I averaged 21.8 MPG. Being this is still part of the break in period, I assume the mileage may even increase. The majority of the drive was on the Turnpike which as several mountian ranges (Allegheny are not comparable to the Rockies but still mountians)between 65 and 75 MPH. I was quite impressed that it was able to cruise at 70 MPH at under 2500 RPMs.

That is best mpg I've seen. At 7000 miles I get 20.4 on hwy at 65-70..Use Mobile 1 synthetic which I think helped by .5, and made engine quieter.

it is not exact science 475 miles/ filled up twice with a total of 26.7 gallons of gas. I am sure that there is probably gas in the neck of the tank and may hold a few extra quarts. Either way it was comparable to the milage I was getting in my Jeep.

ok, I am making my monthly pilgrimage to Harrisburg this week end. I will track the mileage and gas, and with the use of a caculator, I will attempt to accurately figure my milage correctly, the first time. They are calling for some serious snow in the mountians so it should be a challenging trip.
