My tires did the trimming for me. LOL

Ditto. But then the hole edges started to curl toward the tire, which had the same effect as a playing card clothespinned to kid's bike. So I cut the hole bigger with my pocket knife.
Rubbing for me is only on the right side wheel housing. If I had to do it all over again, I'd install the tires, drive a few miles, look for rub spots then remove the tire and attempt to remount or otherwise adjust the housing. The rubbing I had was so minor that might have solved it.
