I'm looking to install a DDX 8017 unit in my 2003 rig. Does anyone out there know exactly what I need to install this??? I would need the name of the units involved. I also want my steering wheel controls to work as well. I've gotten so many different installers here in Chicago that are telling me that I need this and this... and some are saying "nope, I don't need it" Anyways I'm confused, and any help from any of you would be greatly appreciated!!!

I just sent him a pm. Hopefully he can help. Honestly, I don't plan on doing any type of subs. Mainly the head unit with nav. and 2 headrest monitors. As far as the stock amp... i have no idea. Is it good enough to just work with that amp???

If the Kenwood DDX7017 has the input for remote (plug for it) all you need is PAC SWI-ALP and OS-2Bose, if it doesn't have that remote input, you'll need PAC SWI-X instead of SWI-ALP. I think you can find about the plug on Kenwood.com page. Isn't that model like the newest one? If so, it should have the plug for remote...
These should retain all the steering wheel functions, warning chimes and onstar.
