Could use alittle advise here. In the process of replacing my rear taillight bulbs with LED's. The manual says remove the 2 screws then gently pull to release the two locator tabs. O.K. pretty straight forward until you try to gently pull. They dont want to release. I really dont want to snap the lens tabs.My question is,,, Has anyone taken there taillamp assembly off? I'm pulling hard enough that it feels like its either going to release or break.. Dont really feel like having to by another one if I snap it. Any thoughts??

I've pulled mine to connect my rear marker lights. The entire unit, lense and rear plastic part pulls out together. After the two screws are out. just wiggle it back and forth a little and it will loosen up. There was a sticky tape like substance on mine which held it tight.

It worked hmrlvr. Got one side off. Install was a breeze. Not happy though. The LED looked good but not near as bright as stock bulb with brake lights on. Only about half as bright as the other stock side nmike. I think with a after market euro style clear lens they will be fine but for now with the stock lens Ill just shelf them till some good after market stuff comes out. Thanks for the help..

thanks those are pretty slick... sucks that they aren't brighter than the stock setup. I always thought that led lights required a ballast or something similar like xenon lights do. These don't need that, I wonder if that is why they aren't so bright... but hey thanks for the link I'll keep these in mind.

Had to get load resitors for each bulb to make blinkers work right. I got the smallest bulb size per directions on lens size. With lights on they looked better than stock but brake light applied,,not nearly as bright. Igot the 2.7 inch bulb but the next size WILL fit in the housing. Im thinking of returing them. They arent worth the $$$$. See ya
