I have a black 05 H2 and it has a dvd system with 4 monitors and I took the advice of members here and others and got an aftermarket alarm installed. I got a viper alarm with 2-way pager and remote start, my question is does this now void my warranty? I ask this because my installer told me that sometimes it does and that seems insane to me but I figured I would ask you guys about it. He also said adding an aftermarket stereo would do the same. Sorry if this has been asked in the past but I did a search for and could not find what I was looking for.

NO, IT DOES NOT VOID YOUR WARRNATY. HOWEVER, IF YOU BRING IT IN FOR A WARRANTY COMPLAINT, YOU CAN BE CHARGED DIAGNOSIS IF THE PROBLEM IS A RESULT OF THE ALARM SYSTEM, OR IT'S INSTALLATION. SO JUST BE CAREFULL BEFORE YOU BRING IT IN, TO BE SURE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ALARM INSTALLATION.

Y are you YELLING?
Sorry it's just a pet peeve I have with folks that refuse toggle off cap lock.

I do agree with you that the installation of an alarm will not void a warranty unless it can be proven that the install has caused a problem. Even then the vehicle warranty will still be valid you'll get charged for whatever the problem is.
