Hello,

could you help me?

i want to change the stock radio against a newer one because the knops are looking bad.
what is abaut the anti theft code or is the radio remembering the VIN number or something else.
please help me because here in germany arenīt so many people that can do.....

Arne, you want to change the radio because the knobs are worn and looking bad? Can you not just replace the knobs? Might be factory GM knobs that might be easy to replace.

Anybody else know?

..........yes, that is a good idea, but i can get the new radio for a few bugs.
so what is with the brain of the radio, does it remember its old Hummer.

here in germany are at this time maximum 20 H2īs.
but yuo are right, maybe stolen or just changed, whow nows.
ok, other question, is it possible to change the code for my H2?

The radios are VIN locked to the truck. There is no method to "change" the VIN other than taking it to a dealer and having them Unlock the new radio and re-learn the VIN by using the shop Tech II computer.

If you go with a new Alpine unit, you can keep the steering wheel controls by adding a PAC SWI-ALP steering wheel interface. I think there's an interface made for the new Pioneer units also.
