Well I have been hoping they would release the canvas top as seen at the shows for the SUT - then I see this on a page...bummer.

I wanted one of those also, but got the gobi bed rack on the tonneau instead. I still think someone needs to make some sort of removable hardtop for the rear of the sut. Then you could close the back off when you have the midgate down. Bad/cold weather makes the midgate useless. I thing they make one for the avalanche, I'll try and find a pic.

That is not too bad - I would like to see that for the SUT and the slant back as well...then I would pick my style! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Yep. I wanted one of those, too. I found that I never used the midgate and hardly used the bed, so I ended up trading back in for the SUV. I did love riding with the rear window down though.

I use the midgate all the time - I love the window down too! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I guess the tonneau is what kills the functionality of the midgate.
However, the "express down" button makes it all worth it! I feel like I'm in a giant open top (like my 75 K5 Blazer) when the sunroof is open and all 5 windows are down.

They're going to tell you that they have no plans for such a small market. That's what they told me when I was doing all the research for a slantback, removable bed cap, or Can Back.
Lund also declined!

Maybe if they sell another 10,000 SUT's this year, the market will be big enough for them to consider SUT specific products.

Are you trying to turn your SUTs into SUVs? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I hate to say this but that's freakin' ugly. It looks like when someone gets a camper top for free and mounts it on their truck regardless if it fits.
It should have stayed flush with the roof and not stick out past the tailgate.
Too busy, too much, too ugly.
My .02 worth...

In agreement here, 100%.
I've had my SUT for just over a year now, and have never lowered the midgate...don't even know how. I use my utility trailer for anything that won't fit in the bed.

Can-Back is as of late under new ownership and has a new phone number. I have one on my shortbed K1500, I love it.

Just put it down and drive around sometime with all the windows down, and the roof back...it is really a nice feeling! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Plus you do not have dust the dash! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
