Are you just looking for the cover? If you need more than this, I don't have the answer.

How about a pick of the car that hit you.

Look for a code on the axle housing"2" letters.
It will be stamped on the upper driver side of
the axle tube, three to five inchs out board of the carrier.
GM only shows one but being where you live it may take something that is not listed.
Housing number 12479199 1,409.98
complete axle 10382293 2,852.54
If your tube is bent you may need to replace many parts,Carrier, int gears and axles.
Good luck!

I had no idea there were so many GM cars and trucks on the road there.
Sorry to hear about the wreck...I hope it is all sorted out for you. On the back (in your pic) door it looks like the gap is tight on the side and wide on the top...can you still open that door ok?

i will hopefully get the coding today from the mechanic and then see what is available, the local dealer for Hummer says that 30-90 days before he can get a axle casing, i just dont get why it will take so long. I have seen about 150 Hummers flying around Kuwait over the last 3 months - they are as popular as any GM truck around. I have all other parts for the axle, gears etc.
As for the back door, we can open it ok, now that the axle has been taken off, all body work has sprung back into line with no visible marks which is a good thing. I would say that there is 50% of vehicles on the road are GM/Chevy models.

i was shunted from stand still position about 20mts down the road from when he hit me.
I saw the bugger coming down the outside medium in the side view mirror, so i knew it was coming and i could not do anything about it.
If i was in a car not a Hummer, i would most probably not be here.
Thank God i was in a Hummer.
