I finished my Sunday morning project – Hella 4000 Euro Beams
I finally got them mounted to the SMA brush guard. I bought some Denunzio (http://www.denunzioracing.com/shop/denunzio/brackets.html) Racing Hella specific brackets and had a friend weld them on yesterday. I rattle canned over the brackets and touched up the rock rash on my bumper at the same time. I love Krylon! I also picked up some clear stone shields to protect them.
The Hellas have their own switch. The bigger PIAAs come on with my headlights as an extra set of running lights. The small PIAAs (which are SUPER bright) are wired to turn on whenever I hit my brights.
I can’t wait for it to get dark outside!

I also blacked out the roof bars with some DIY bedliner 2 weeks ago. It turned out great!

On the second pic down I see a D90 looking back at us...I have NO idea why. I just think that looks SO DAMN GOOD!
How much did you find the lights for? That grill guard is kick butt too!
Post night pics... Please.... Pretty please. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Thanks guys! sfox always tells me my truck looks happy! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif
VT - I used to have a D90 so maybe its aura is still hovering over its replacement.
I've had the lights for a while. I bought them off ebay for around $250 with a wiring harness. I had them on my previous brush guard and they work great!
I know, STILL no winch http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_frown.gif The roller fairlead comes in mighty handy though http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif)

Well, I cannot say enough how much I like that look.
It must be the D90 haunting the pics! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
I like the clear covers on the Hella's as well. I need to get some of those for my black magics.

Getting decent night shots was hard. Its hard to tell the difference in brightness because the aperature kept changing.
Here's the basics until I take some better pics.
Regular "Driving Mode"

"Brights" engaged
The small PIAAs have a very wide dipersion and very white light.

The picture doesn't accurately capture the difference in brightness. Its substantial!

Maybe you could just get a couple of feet of winch line and a hook, that way it would at least look like you have a winch in there http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
LMAO!!! But at least it's smiling.http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

sure it does by probably two f stops in camera talk. Assuming you didn't zoom in or move closer to the truck. In the picture "brights engaged" you can see some of the truck and some of the background behind the truck. In the photo "Brights + Hella 4000s" all of that info in the picture is lost because the camera closed down a couple of stops to correctly expose the bright lights. The pictures may not illustrate what you had in your mind but there is a vast difference between the two shots "assuming there was not post production adjustments with photoshop or similar program"... You might want to try shooting the shot from the drivers point of view lookiing out the window to show how much more of the road is lit up from one setting of light over the other. In that situtation try and put the camera in manual but even if that can't be done it should still illustrate the difference pretty clearly.
Great set up by the way.
