I just installed my McCulloch 8000K H.I.D. headlights! They look awesome! I purchased the kit from eBay. It took about 25 minutes to install. Now my H3 really stands out now!

Do they have a high beam as well? Did you order 9008 or H13?

I ordered the H13's and no, no high beam mode.
Thats why I decided to get the 8000Ks' There bright enough and with the fog lights in use it looks really bright.

Are the 8000k legal in all of the states? I thought they were for off-road only?

I had same brand 8000K H.I.D.s' installed in my 2002 Ford Explorer, and I drove the hell out of it. I even got pulled over near Springfield Ill. for speeding at 2:00 A.M. I never got a ticket just a warning. Thank goodness he was also former USMC. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif He never mentioned the H.I.D.s' I live in WI and I never had a problem with the law here. Even in Arkansas where I was Stationed for 4 months for C-130 school at LRAFB, I nevered got got hassled on base about my H.I.D.s' So I would guess that it would be a judgement call on the trooper or local law enforcement to enforce that law if it applies.

OK, I DECIDED TO GO OUT TO THE DRIVEWAY AND TAKE SOME NIGHT SHOTS AND DO A SIDE BY SIDE COMPARISON WITH MY FATHERS 2002 FORD RANGER TO GIVE YOU ALL A DIFFERENCE IN THE BRIGHTNESS.
SOME SHOTS ARE WITH THE FLASH AND SOME SHOTS ARE WITHOUT THE FLASH.

THIS SHOT IS WITHOUT THE FLASH.

Now that's what I'm talking about. HIDs were one of my (few) problems with the H3. They look awesome.

Please let us know about the actual driving experience with the new HIDs.

wow. people must hate being in front of you. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif i have HID's on my celica, and here in arkansas, things like that are real lax. there are plenty of people rolling around here with some highly illegal tints and we have no carb regulations.

i believe that HID's have been outlawed if they do not come as a factory option. the problem is that cars and options change so often that they aren't taking the time to learn it. it's such a petty thing to ticket for compared to say....running a stop sign

Hey Arkansas Dragon!!
Did you get your Hummer in Benton? Thats where I got mine! Jerry Odom was the salesman. Those guys and gals at the dealership are the best!
In fact all the Arkansas people were down right pleasent and easy going. Thats what I like about the South, some are easy going people who have a grasp on life and know BS when they see it and call it like it is.
