So I stopped by my local 4wheelparts store here in San Jose.
Got a quote for the lift installed with tires.
- Rancho lift installed alignment done as well
- American Racing teflon with Toyo MTs mounted and balanced
- Labor
price came out to be $7500. Is that fair?
Guy seems pretty cool and honest, but this is my first hummer, and obviously my first in lifting. He did say that he'll call me back end of today to see if he can lower the price even more since i'm doing this bundle deal.
your thoughts...

Did he give you a breakdown on parts vs labor. That seems really high.
Lift = $2300
Tires = $1500 (assuming 5 tires)
Rims = $1100
Total Parts = $4900 (not including Rancho warranty)

Those are their prices off their website. If he didn't include the warranty in there, that means they're charging $2600 for labor. Sounds steep to me.

I know.. when I got back, i went to their website and check against the price. Much cheaper.
So when he calls me back, i'll confront him on that. BTW, its for only 4 not 5 tires/wheels
he did give me a brake down. labor was $1050 and he said it'll take three days!

make sure to use the 4WP Coupons like 1/2 off labor or buy 3 get one deals.
i only paid $5400 with 5 wheels, tires, BFG MT35-12.50-17 with warranty
but i get a lot of work done with the H2 and H3 and think i get better pricing from my guy here.
bottom line sounds a little steep. but maybe not too far off. ithink the labor is a little high, does that include the mounting and bal. labor
only 2 days install time

Actually I called a good buddy of mine who has been going to california customs in Redwood City. I'm getting a better deal with them. Same deal but only paying $5900+tax
Because of the savings i'm gonna add that 5th wheel/tire.

yeah the kit doesnt allow us to use the stock wheels. I guess it has something to do with backspacing issues.
6K... tell me abou it! Didnt realize lifting a truck cost so much. And I thought lowering my cars was expensive!
