Anyone have any opinions about Akuza wheels, positive or negative, with respect to quality and strength? The only reason I ask is that I have a friend selling his off his '03 H2 for dirt cheap.

Thanks,

Pete

Well, I wasn't asking for opinions on their appearance, so I'm not sure how posting a pic would help.

Wow, must have missed this little jab. I'm not sure that I said anything that was offensive with my post. A picture or a bit of information about the wheels you were asking about might have been nice to include in your original post. I actually did do some searching for info on these rims, but didn't find much..including a picture...and I was trying to bump your thread to see if someone else had some info that may have missed it....guess a I will try to be less helpful going forward. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Don't be tho thenthitive you two. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif I took no offense, and it wasn't a jab, just a straight-forward, honest response. I sincerely appreciate the effort, sfox; I just thought you might have misintepreted what I was looking for. I tried scouring the internet also, and came up with next to nothing (which is why I was asking here).

Hope all is cool now.

Thanks,

Pete

Sfox, here you go. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif This is the Akuza "Bounce" wheel, "cast aluminum, triple chrome plated"...

Is that based on appearance? Because if you re-read my original post, I asked for opinions with respect to strength and quality, not appearance. I did that because it doesn't matter to me what others like or dislike with regards to appearance; I do my own thing. But I appreciate your effort just the same.

With all that said, I took a good look at these wheels on my friend's H2 and decided I didn't like the way they looked, so it's now a moot point.

They are dirt cheap because they are cast aluminum---better wheels are forged aluminum--like Weld Evos---better balance, better chome finish, better overall specs for the wheels themselves.

PS. Triple chrome plated is a myth--it is a new buzz word because of the popularity of wheels and chome in the common market. All good chome has three plates--copper, nickle, chrome. There are not three coats of chrome.
