Anyone have some suggestions on how to properly remove the center console. I am planning on installing the empty light switches to wire some off road lights to the BG.

very easy dude, first make sure you disconect the negative termunal to battery to avoid shorts.Place you 2 fingers in the power slots at bottom of console and pull out ,should come out pretty easy. Then just pull around the console to remove other clips. The upper vents will come with it so dont be suprised. You will have to disconnect some clips on back of console to make room to work.GOOD LUCK.

It pulls out. You can get it out far enough to place the switches in dash without removing any wiring. I removed the switch plugs and installed PIAA swicthes in that location.

hey "FIRST HUMMER":

How did you wire the PIAA's that is the same setup i am planning on running. Curious of how to breach the firewall etc. Can i locate the wires in the fuse box??

Yes, the finger method works best.
Can you believe the official instructions from GM says to pry it out using screwdrivers? OMG! I guess they don't wat anyone getting electricuted, sticking body parts into the sockets! http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
