so, i have been driving a manual transmission for over 10 years and now i have an automatic. well, talking on the phone the other day i did a stupid thing out of habit. i actually shifted from drive into reverse while moving!!!

i heard a grind and quickly went into neutral then drive.

its driving fine. did i mess anything up?

How much of a grinding noise? Was it a "grrr", or was it a "GGGRRRRRIIIINDYOUIDIOTGRRRRRIIIINDDDD!!!!"? If it was more like latter one you might want to run by the dealership and ask for their opinion.
