Has anyone else had this problem? My '05 H2 has 4K miles and had a bad windleak. The dealer said the original windshield didn't seat correctly and replaced it. Now it leaks into the headliner. I've taken it back for them to re seat and it still leaks. They replaced the windshield with one that says Pilkington...is this a GM replacement?
Thanks for any ideas.....

I'd take that thing back and leave it until it was fixed. I'd also mention the Customer Satisfaction surveys if you get any crap from them.

Of course your problem may be different. If the leak is water into the headliner it may be a poor seal at the corner roof marker light. This is very common. Try using the "Find" tab and type in "leak". You can do the same with "Windshield".

Hope this helps.

Mine was leaking water in through the center roof marker light. The dealer put some sealant on all of them and it hasn't leaked since.

Something to check into.

and mine was leaking where the wiring harness went from the door frame to the door. (sounds like it is not what you have) but I had that...and it was a pain in the ass! I sealed it, and fixed it myself.

Thanks for the tips. My dealer has been great at trying to help. I'm 6 hours from them, so I'll take them the ideas when I go back.

Warranty work is covered for 12 months or 12K miles. Thats what they said about my windshield.

If all else fails, call Hummer

I just went through the same problem. I took mine in for water leaking in from the drivers side above the sunvisor. First the dealer told me that I had two problems, the marker lights on the top were loose and leaking water, also the seal around the windshield had to be resealed. I took it to Safelite auto glass they had it in for about 20 minutes and told me the seal around the windshied was fine and the water was entering through the maker lights on the roof. I took it back to the dealership and found out the first time they just resealed the lights (poorly I might add). The second time they replaced all the lights on the roof with new ones and gave me a free detail service for the trouble. It hasn't rained in a few days so I will know very shortly if that solves the problem. So don't let the dealer rip out your factory front windshield which may lead to even
more problems before they check the marker lights.

The ditch seam under the left front corner light needs to be resealed. Hope this helps.

Just a follow up, I have had mine to the dealer 3 times to fix the water entering from the marker lights on the front. As soon as I got home I put the hose to it for 5 minutes and the water was still getting in. I went to west marine and got some silicone and pulled all 5 lights on the front. I put a nice ring around each one and I have not gotten even a drop of water inside anymore. The marker lights pop out so easy, the design is bad in my optnion.

Yeah, too bad it has not been improved...but I imagine it will be soon. Mine never leaked from the running lights...it is a craps toss I guess.

Heres a little something I found out on my H2 that might be a cause in a few of these problems. My H2 was water tight for over a year when I started to notice water dripping off the center console. Upon inspection I found the forward gasket on the center marker light was pushed backwards to the edge of the hole in the roof. I think I found the cause after observing my H2 go through the car wash I use on a weekly basis. Because of the H2's height, the blowers that dry the top of the vehicle are less then 4 inches from the lights. Those gaskets are probably good for normal driving, but the 300 mph(my guess) wind coming off that blower seems to have blasted the gaskets back over the course of a year. So I sealed them up with some RTV, and havent seen a drop since. Its only a theory, but its mine. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
