update on my slate blue

dropped by the dealership today. My slate blue lux+offroad+sunroof+brushguard etc will be built monday and be here around the 14th of august unless they have improved their shipping which 3 dealers i have talked to says is the problem with orders being slow. gettin real jazzed up even though it could still be a month. anyone else waiting on either blue? anyone already get their blue? they still tell me no blues have been delivered to anyone yet.(but you have to take everything a dealer says with a grain of salt hahaha)

I just spoke with Dobles here in NH and the sales guy said that he wasn't sure when they would start building the slate blue orders, but thought it would be year-end. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Glad to hear this isn't true.

The lease programs still suck though. Looking at about $500 per mo for a LUX and they won't take the Supplier Discount, so I will wait. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

just got a call from my salesman today; he told me my base boulder gray, lux, chrome pack will be built on 7-18 and delivered to the dealership on 8-14 as well....
seems like an awful long wait guys...h3mainer,,when did you place your order? my saleman told me that hummer is backed up with orders..I read on another post that hummer is giving their employees the first 2 weeks off in july, my saleman new nothing about that,,,

mainer, good to hear your slate blue is on its way. i'm not sure what the timeline is on my metallic blue. we didn't get any hummers up here until three weeks ago, so if the same lag time occurs i may not be posting pictures till october!! that just means it gets broken in on the snow.
-all good things take time.(and a helluva lot of patience!!)

hey boulder, i ordered mine the 2nd week of june so turnaround seems like 8 weeks. not toobad for what i want, and whats 2 mos when u are spending 40k. they did tell me if i wanted another color besides the blue i could have had it in 5-6 weeks. but i know i would have kicked myself for not waiting the 2 or 3 extra weeks. wannabe, good luck with dobles they didnt seem like they cared about my business.

Seems like the problem is that the initially delivered batches do not include the options that many of us want. None of the four dealers within 200 miles of me have my desired config. No wonder that the factory is backed up on orders. I guess they built these things for the trendy grocery getter crowd instead of the offroad crowd.
