The H2 is an adventure vehicle and I am sure other SoCal Hummer owners like to fish. Is there any interest out there to do a fishing/off-roading trip? I am not sure what the prime area would be to do this but maybe we could start adding more complimentary adventure into the trips ie. hiking, fishing, climbing etc. Any thoughts?

I swear, I hate where I'm from. If I lived out there, I'd be parked in your driveway by now bugging you to hurry up. I love fishing! Been fishing since I was just a couple feet tall, and always loved it. More of a salt water man, but I like catching northern pike and such as well.

Well, if you come to this area we'll hook up (pun intended). I also love to ocean fish and just returned 2 weeks ago from fishing in Cape Cod. What color is your H2 so when you show up in my driveway I'll know who it is? http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Buckeye what about some mountain biking!!!!!!
You said it Grim, CT appears boring compared to CA!
Where do you go for northern pike? My dad and I make trips up to Canada once in a while. Great pike up there. Crank the tip of my rod under the boat!

I like fishing. When we went up near Lake Silverwood on one of Steve's events it looked like there might be some cart roads down to the back side of the lake. That might be worth a look. Any places you've been thinking of?

Bishop is one idea. I ran into a friend that just returned and said the trout was great 5-10 per day with one slow day at 2. She also said the campgrounds were great if we decide to do that but they need to be registered way in advance. We could, however, stay outside of the camp. I know Steve had mentioned some ocean fishing as well, which is my favorite so where we are now is to find a direction. Do we charter a boat and head off or do we try lake fishing with some camping/mtn. biking/off-roading involved?

According to Steve, I'm probably a poser http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif, but I would like to see more events with hiking, FISHING and other outdoor sports. How about, setting up a BBQ at the end of the runs.
The folks that are going now are apprently having a good time, but having an underlaying theme to the runs might be fun.
I have wanted to go more, acutally, other than Malibu, I havn't made any events, but I would like to see more of an event, other than just wheeling. But for what its worth, that's my opinion.

I was just teasing ya! I have a Specialized Stump Jumper (http://www.specialized.com/SBCBkModel.jsp?san=03StumpjumperFSR&bl=mountain&JServSessionIdroot=mr33fr10no.j27006) that unfortunately doesn't get used much anymore. House & kids suck up all of my time these days. Now that fall is coming I'll have to get back out there!

Just got back from a few days salmon fishing. Mostly smaller ones 28-30.5 inches, all silvers (coho), but yam, yam!! Smoked up about 30 lbs, and vacuum packed/froze that much more. I think I'll do it again next week, (lots of 30-50 pounders coming out. It's HOT. But this is far North Californi. http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
So, I'm traveling thru Ca, Nv, TX, AZ, and maybe NM (winter). Is it worth pulling a boat? Any places worth drowning a worm?
