Anyone know a good place to get 12 volt Christmas lights to decorate roof rack with ?????

Go to WalMart and get a power inverter and use regular outdoor lights. They sell cheapie inverters that plug into the lighter outlet. Check wattages first though...

And get one with enough wattage so that you can run it continuously. If you get just the minimum wattage, they're typically only rated for intermittent use (a few minutes at a time).

... And be prepared to be stopped by the police if you plan on driving with the lights on.

If he's hellbent on being able to run with them, he might be able to get away with it provided he stays away from red, blue, and flashing lights. He might get pulled over still. I'm too lazy to check CA statutes to substantiate this though http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

We've decorated our roof rack every year with garland and lights. Never had a problem. Just run an extension cord through the door and attach to the power inverter. I'll post a picture this evening of our "sleigh" with lights.
