I was told by the dealer that if the hummer didnt come with a hitch they wouldnt do one. I'd have to put one myself or a third party such as U-Haul.
Anyone did one yet outside of the dealer? I'd like to see what they look like and if you are happy.
thanks,

You can do an after market hitch okay, downside is that it will have to hang much lower than a stock one wich really limits your departure angles when off-roading. You can't really install the stock hitch without replacing the rear bumper and some other stuff I believe. As with the UC and rocker rail protection, this item as well is optimally installed from the factory.

Side rails, front brush guards, etc., are all installed by the dealer; even if ordered with the vehicle.
nmikes is correct about the hitch, the factory hitch is installed at the plant, due to the difference in the bumpers. Factory hitch has a cutout for the hitch, while the non-factory installed hitch bumper has no such cutout.
There have been a few that have had an aftermarket hitch intalled. A search for hitch might bring up some hits.
