this setup actually put to use?

I found this pic online, and was wondering how well/not so well it performed.

Sure, this is sold world-wide, it's called mattracks, it cost around 20,000 USD.

Here it is installed on a Toyota Land Cruiser in Oman. Works well on soft sand as well as Snow.
