On the advice of other owners, I bought the GM mudflaps. They do not fit because the bar is in the way (now I've gotta return or sell 'em). Does anyone make a mudflap that works with the rock bars?

Check out the Mud Flaps post in general discussion. One post in there says he had no problem

Looking at the pictures, my rock bars are farther forward than yours. I'm guessing that they're installed differently. My fron mud flaps won't install with the bars because the bars are almost an 1" in the way. I just had knee surgery, I'll post pics later.

Ok, I just did the install. I think they put your rocker bars on wrong or the holes in your frame are mounted up more. Kira's truck works with them and so did mine. I will tell you that the flaps rest up touching the bars though. I just put the fronts on only. My intention was just to do the fronts to keep all the snow/ sluch off the doors. I alos put the US protection on. Total time for everything was just over an hour.

Do you have the OEM rock rails? I have put mine on and ta=ken them off a couple of times, and there are eight bolt holes. There is nowhere else to mount them....very mysterious!

Maybe the mounts are different for each side. When I installed mine, there was definatly a left and right side. Maybe their mixed up?

Ok, not to Hijack Hucks thread, the first time I took them off was to see if it was possible, and yes with a little ingenuity, I managed just fine.
Second time was to take them off for well, that's top secret at the moment.
For the record......I am not some crazy bish!
Detertmined ....yes. Driven....yes. Ambitious.....yes. Fearless......within reason.
But insane......no.

Well, since I'm laid up, can the bars be mounted on the wrong side? Installing them the other way would make it right maybe?

Well, i just went out and looked and I don't know how they could be mounted backwards. Your rockrail should be just behind the fender well and measures about 13" from where the edge of the brackets are mounted to the edge of the rockrail. If you did have them mounted backwards, you would have roughly 5" from the bracket edge to the edge of the rockrail. So, i don't see how they could be mounted wrong.
When you feel better, take a pic of your rockrail like this one or compare how much further forward yours sits in comparison to the body than these pics.

one more to compare how far forward your rockrail sits. These pics are both on the PSSD.

Yup, my rails are farther forward than that. When I get better, I'm going to try to swap my rails and see if that buys me the distance I need.
