After months of searching for the right replacement for my Ford Escape http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif, I had a flash back as I went through some old digital pictures, to the Philly auto show last year where I saw my first H3. I fell in love and I knew I had to have it no matter what. At the time I was unemployeed, a year later I land a great job, I'm not making mucho $$$$ but it was just enough to know that the H3 was now within my grasp. I compared every vehicle imaginable to it (they all looked the same) and none could match the H3 as an all around vehicle capabale of adapting to many driving situations and still maintain a comforatable ride, stylish look yet still very unique character. I ordered my first Hummer about a 4 weeks ago, Black on Black, Luxury package, sunroof, chrome appearence package, chrome wheels, chrome sidesteps, chrome roofrack and trailer hitch. All for just under $35K, I used a GM supplier discount and saved $3,500. I just wanted to get rid of my Ford I'm Trading in my Escape, which is a piece of garbage especially after my Boston Terrier used the shift lever and turn signal lever as a chew toy...only worth about $8,500 now. I'm in the city and only offroad a little now, I love driving to the Poconos in Blizzard conditions to ski, got to have 4x4 to park on snowplow mountains on the city streets, but when my dealer has a Hummer happening I'm all in. Delivery is setup for next Tuesday, and I can't wait!!!!!This has always been my dream car, my parents owned BMW's, Mercedes, Audi, Porsche all great cars but the Hummer is what I wanted. I'm 31 married and have 1 dog. This forum is great finally I can rant about my new H3 without taking flack from my tree huging buds. Any suggestions on how to breakin a new H3, speed and milage?

The manual says to stay under 55mph for the first 500 miles..then gradually increase from there. Also, take it easy on the brakes for the wear-in period.

Enjoy your new ride. I just got mine a little over a week ago. Black Lux...ran me about 34K with GMID. I've been adding accessories like mad and loving it.

Good luck. I'm sure you'll enjoy picking up that beast. I too came from a Ford Escape (which I still own)
