My mom died this week and I had the funeral the same day I was to deliver my Black H2 to a multi million dollar sponsor of DMS.

My chief mechanic drove it up the NJ Turnpike towards Newark (with my sales manager in a chase car) and were cut of by a car, Rubber Head, I will call him.

Hitting the guard rail at 50 plus MPH with the front wheel did some damage. After impact, the rear end went up higher than the guard rail, came to rest, and bent the panhard bar as the rear end flexed.

The front end is damaged as you can see. The H2 has a total 16" lift and what was good for us is that the body was higher than the guard rail. The stock nerf bar rode the top of the rail for around 150' preventing a lot more damage.

I need a stock black nerf bar---anyone?

The rest of the parts are custom and on order.

Turnpike travelers got a good look at it along with the cops before they could get it off of the guard rail and back to the shop.

The "before" pic is on my website that is in need of an update since the company has grown so much this year. Who has time to keep those damn websites updated anyway!

P.S. Brembos do not work when the fluid reservior is empty!

My condolences about your mom. What a strange photo. Had I not heard your story, I would have assumed that it was certainly Photoshopped. I just replaced my factory nerfs with stainless ones. The passenger side nerf got trashed (like yours) and I didn’t think to keep the driver side one. The techs asked if I wanted it, and I thought, “If they can use it, let them have it.” I have a suspicion that the passenger side nerfs get a beating far more frequently than the driver side ones.

John We had talked about Your Mom and family but, You did not mention the H2 accident. But, that is not as important as the Family. It can be fixed. I feel very bad for You and Your Family in the loss of Your Mom. The rig will be Ok minor stuff. I wish I had know You were going through this accident stuff and the loss of Your Mother at the same time. I would have come out to help with the H2 this past week so You would not have that on Your mind to worry with. Next time Your are over loaded let me know and I'll get a plane out. You know I'm Praying for You and Yours. May God give Your family peace in this time of sorry. Remember that the sorry and mourning is just a way for We the Family left behind to relieve the pressure and stress of the loss of a Special Loved One. We must keep in mind that Our Loved one goes on to a better place and are happy to leave his painful world. They get to experience joy while We suffer in Our flesh feeling sorry for ourselves from the lose. My Prayer to God is "Peace be unto You John and Your family".
Call Me if You need My help. I'll be there.
Do not forget I'll be in New York last week in May with My daughter. We'll talk latter but, I'll rent something or what ever You suggest to come over at least one day to Your shop while I'm there. I have never been to The Big Apple and I'm excited about it. The commitee has many tours planned for the parents who are coming along but, I think they planned a free day. looking forward to getting to see Your shop.
Well God Bless John and I'll talk to You after the weekend.
Rick
