Very true, in fact, I believe some PETA members are being tried under animal cruelty charges in VA, and are noted to adopt animals at local vets and then killing them. They prefer to kill versus allow people to have pets.
As for slavery, I look at my dog, and she eats better than me, does not have to work (I plan on getting a sled for exercise for her), and she actually rules the roost. I'm her slave http://www.elcova.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

For your info DOGS look at us and are thabkful that we walk them, feed them & take care of them and they worship us as gods...

whereas

Cats see us feed them, clean up after them & make sure they are healthy and they know

WE WORSHIP THEM as gods...
